About

Human, musician, trombone player. I grew up in Washington State, but have found myself on the East and West coasts learning  and playing at Central Washington University with John Neurohr and the Manhattan School of Music with Per Brevig. I've had the privilege of performing with a number of orchestras including the Spokane Symphony, Tacoma City Ballet, Tacoma Opera, Olympia Symphony, Yakima Symphony and Vashon Opera, and in renowned halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Passionate about chamber music, I'm a current member of The Choppers Brass and Bone Squad. Both groups play regularly across Western and Eastern Washington State. Not one to put myself in the Classical "box," I also play bass trombone in Legion of Jazz and enjoy making and recording trombone arrangements of videogame and film music. Teaching is also a huge part of my life: I'm currently professor of Low Brass at Pierce College and have a private studio in Tacoma. Outside of music, I can often be found kayaking, wrenching on cars, and even dabbling a bit in bonsai.
